Festival of Brass bands Poza de la Sal 2016

The National Festival of Brass bands and fanfares of Poza de la Sal wants to be a celebration of music where musicians from different regions encourage and compete for a whole day in this town of Burgos with so much tradition, beauty and history. Brass bands Festival Poza de la Sal will be held this year on May 4th.
Everyone knows the taste and liking of the pozanos for music, not in vain, Poza de la Sal is considered the smallest town in Europe with  Music Band.

After several several editions, this festival has become a national reference in the musical calendar of brass bands, having participated brass bands from diverse communities as Canary Islands, Valencia, Andalusia, Catalonia, La Rioja, Navarra, Castilla la Mancha, Pais Vasco, Cantabria, Castilla y Leon, Madrid, Asturias …

Gazte Brass band represent to Navarra

The Foral Comunity  of Navarra already represented in the Festival Brass bands Poza de la Sal. Gazte Brass band this year has been chosen and May 7th  will have the pleasure to enjoy with music through the streets of Poza de la Sal.

San Lazaro and San Mamés, its twin top guarding the gate of Medina on the way from Valdivielso to Urría

The Sierra of Tesla is a long limestone wall that separates the lands of Medina de Pomar, crossed by the Nela, Valdivielso, watered by the Ebro River. Through the center ran a route of Roman origin then used by the Visigoths (s. VI), beginning in Quintanalacuesta. It is tracing the hard side, and the called gate of Medina, down to Tartalés de los Montes.

San Antón Raffle

With this festival we want to put an end to the events organized throughout Christmas. the closest Saturday is celebrated the feast of San Anton on January 19. That day afternoon pork sausage, blood pouding and wine is distributed, while proceeding to draw numerous awards whose main character is a handsome pig. This event is organized by the Friends of Santa Casilda.
As is tradition in Briviesca by San Anton a pig is raffled off and here is popularly known as raffle pig, but for some years now the pig is accompanied by a few more things and raffle on Saturday following the day of San Anton .
The Association of Friends of Santa Casilda, is responsible for several years to organize this raffle and does deliver a few servings of sausage, pork sausage and wine among the attendees at the Plaza Mayor, while carrying out the draw, which way was broadcast live by Radio Briviesca.
